It is with much enthusiasm that I invite you to participate as an exhibitor in the Miami River Art Fair, an international contemporary art fair that will pioneer the art fair scene in the Downtown Miami-Brickell area. This is a special invitation where your participation fee will be drastically reduced if you choose to participate in the Asia Pavilion. This honor has been reserved for artists, galleries and special projects whose vision and artwork have been considered outstanding in their scope and subject matter.
The Miami River Art Fair will take place December 4 - 9, 2012 at the Miami Convention Center and will run alongside Art Basel Miami as one of its many satellite art fairs. Art Basel week in Miami is a one-of-kind time where our city experiences a soaring influx of international art professionals, collectors, curators and enthusiasts that visit Miami to see cutting-edge contemporary art at Art Basel Miami, the largest contemporary art fair in the world.
There are numerous satellite art fairs to Art Basel Miami that each offer something unique. The Miami River Art Fair is the first and only art fair located in the Downtown Miami- Brickell area, the heart of Miami¡¯s financial district. As the only art fair in this untapped area, we will have direct access to our local target market that consists of the affluent, welltraveled inhabitants of the Brickell-Downtown area. In addition, this prime location offers visitors a unique urban atmosphere and convenient proximity to world-class entertainment and dining in Downtown Miami and Brickell.
As the only waterfront art fair during Art Basel week, a luxury amenity that will attract collectors and VIP patrons to the Miami River Art Fair will be its unique access to a yacht docking area at the foot of the Riverfront Sculpture Mall of the art fair. This 800 linear foot public sculpture park on the edge of the historic Miami River will be footsteps away from the main fair and showcase monumental sculpture and installations from international artists.
Our fair has the decade-long revitalization efforts of the Miami River at its core. To do our part in the revitalization of this area, our mission is to redirect the tourism boom during Art Basel to this up-and-coming area. The Miami River Art Fair will be the first landmark fine art event in the area, and its magnitude and scope will lay the groundwork for this area to be one of Miami¡¯s newest fine art destinations.
In this pioneering spirit, we ask that you consider participation in the Miami River Art Fair for these decisive, first steps in breaking open the art fair scene to the Downtown-Brickell area and the Miami River area.
